Osteopathy is a holistic, hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on the musculoskeletal system and its impact on overall health and well-being. This practice is based on the principle that the body has the inherent ability to heal itself when its structure and function are in proper alignment.
About Me
“I see osteopathy as a unique approach to healthcare. My aim is to support recovery by using hands-on techniques, alongside advice on exercise and lifestyle. Osteopathy can play a valuable role in managing pain, improving function and supporting overall wellbeing.”
Who I Am and How I Work
I’m Josh, an osteopath based in Bury St. Edmunds. I completed my Master’s degree in Osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathy in London, where I gained extensive training in anatomy, physiology, clinical assessment and hands-on treatment.
Much of my work focuses on helping patients understand and manage their symptoms, supporting them in restoring function and getting back to what they enjoy.
I take an open-minded approach to healthcare, recognising that getting better is rarely one-dimensional. Lifestyle factors such as exercise, sleep, nutrition and mental wellbeing all play a role in pain and long-term health, and different approaches can often complement one another. My aim is to provide care that supports recovery and long-term wellbeing.
Outside clinic you’ll usually find me outdoors, in the gym, or exploring new places. Keeping active has always been important to me; I understand how much it matters to feel well and make the most of life, and that drives how I approach every patient I see.
Training and Professional Standards
Osteopaths in the UK complete a minimum of four years undergraduate study covering anatomy, physiology, clinical diagnostics and hands-on skills, along with over 1,000 hours of supervised clinical practice.
All UK osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), which sets national standards for safety, training and ongoing professional development.
Helping you move well, feel better and stay active
Staying mobile and strong is something I genuinely believe in; it’s not just about feeling better now – it’s also about supporting your long term health, so you can keep doing what you love, for as long as possible.
That belief shapes the way I work. My approach is rooted in hands-on experience and a real understanding of what it means to stay active. Through tailored, practical care, I aim to support you through pain, recovery, or simply moving with more ease.
Everyone’s story is different. I’ll always take the time to listen and work with you in a way thats realistic, evidence-based, and centred around what matters to you most – without pressure or assumptions, just care that helps you get back to what you love.
